New ALMS West Racing Lamborghini Team Announces Drivers
The Yokohama Tire Corporation-sponsored West Racing Team announced Nicky Pastorelli and Dominik Schwager will be its drivers for the 2011 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) season.

For the 2011 ALMS season, West Racing will be running two Lamborghinis in the GT class. Obviously, they will be using Yokohama racing slicks. The driver line-up has not been announced but we hear they will be “pro drivers from Japan and Mexico”.
Supposedly reclaiming the spirit of the CR-X, Honda’s CR-Z made a big splash at the 2010 SEMA Show. Hidden next to an endurance racecar and a 700hp example, the CR-Z Hybrid R Concept show car gathered lots of attention.

In the US, MX-5 Miatas, RX-7s, RX-8s, and other Mazda-powered vehicles are a common site at the track. Not even mentioning the massive growth of the Spec Miata class, Mazdas are involved in formula, prototype, touring car, and GT racing the world over.

Jens Marquardt will be taking over BMW Motorsport on January 1, 2011 and will oversee its BMW M3 GT2, WTCC, DTM, and formula car programs.
BMW built it by putting the E92 M3’s 4-liter V8 engine under the hood, good for 480hp, and then stretching the coupe body in all the right places.
