To all you Gran Turismo junkies – if you’ve been scraping by on the shortened Gran Turismo 5 Prologue video game and have sunken into repetitive digital drifting exercises, the wait is over.
Today, at the 2010 E3 show, Sony Computer Entertainment America President & CEO Jack Tretton announced that Gran Turismo 5 will be released on November 2, 2010.
Sony went on to promise that the game will have more than 950 cars (including Super GT, WRC, NASCAR, and time attack), new modes, and improved online functionality. Should be good for when you feel like rally racing the HKS time attack Evo versus an Estonian Ford GT.
Gran Turismo 5 will also go on sale in two different versions, the standard and a Collector’s Edition. To justify the higher $99.99 price tag, the Collector’s Edition will come with a 1:43 scale die-cast Nissan GT-R Spec V, 300 page car guide, Gran Turismo keychain, five exclusive in-game cars, and a different box.
The video trailer that Sony debuted (see below) featured a glimpse of what the game will offer, including GT, WRC, NASCAR (for the first time), The Stig, and the same high-resolution graphics.

Finally. Makes Forza and NFS look like fakes.
